Better JPEG format?

I'm baaaaack!

Well, I've obtained employment outside of the box store...thank God! Now I'm free to employ my creative freedom again...well, for 5-10 hours a week, but for much more money! That and my job in a deli will keep me off unemployment! Hooray!

Well, for new news, have you people heard about this one? If not, check it out...I can only see it being another way for M$ to mess up the graphic arts professionals (much like Publisher did). You'll see my post as xim1970...let me know what you think!

Bad economy

Well, if there were ever a sign of bad times this is it for me...
After 12 years in graphic arts, I might actually get a job at a big box store! Yeehaw! This is a bit of a continuation of the post from earlier this morning. Yes, with all of my knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Xpress, trapping limits, shortcuts to make customer files work on any medium, never mind all the experience with all M$ products, I finally can get a part-time job with a big box store! From $15/hour to $9/hour...oh God...anyone else want to share their sad story?

Graphic Artist jobs in jeopardy

Am I the only one who sees businesses hiring unqualified "graphic designers" who work in MSWord, Publisher, and Excel/Access? Any ideas on why good companies hire "less-than-qualified" people? Please feel free to post your thoughts.
